Birds In Maple Tree Coloring Page Partly Colored

I started coloring in the birds coloring page I made last week so you could get an idea of how it will look when you color it in. I'm going for natural autumn colors but you can, of course, color it with spring colors, or crazy neon colors, or whatever you want.

I'm coloring this in with Photoshop but it gives you an idea of what it might look like with some felt markers.

Coloring it in myself is also good for me to see how fun or challenging it is and gives me things to consider when designing my next adult coloring page. So it's a good thing to do to learn as well as have fun.

See the blank page in my previous post here if you haven't already.

Birds in Maple Tree Coloring Page Digital Download

I've decided to make this image available for digital download so you can get it more quickly. Unfortunately, I'm not going to make this available for free due to the rise in art theft online where, as I mentioned in my previous post, people are stealing images and selling them on products on Amazon and elsewhere. I realize they could still purchase the image and reuse it that way but thieves don't want to pay or they wouldn't steal. So hopefully this will at least reduce the amount of theft.

The file purchased is a large, high-res image which will look good printed out much larger than the average home printer. So rest assured you will get a sharp, detailed image to color.

I've kept the price low to keep it affordable for you honest buyers so hopefully you won't mind paying this nominal fee in order to help me avoid theft of my images. I appreciate your understanding.

Autumn Birds Adult Coloring Page

Detailed coloring pages have become quite popular among adults these days as a form of relaxation and entertainment. Because my recent painting of birds in a maple tree has a lot going on I thought it would make a great coloring book page. So I've spent the last few days transforming my colorful bird image into a black and white line drawing for others to color in. I must say, drawing all those lines, figuring out where to place them to create nice areas to color, was probably as enjoyable as coloring it in will be for you.

Here's a detailed section of it so you can see how the image is divided up into sections for easy coloring.

I had wanted to make a higher res image available for you to download and print yourself but, unfortunately, a lot of unscrupulous people have been stealing images off the internet and using them to open up shops on Amazon with the images on various products for sale. While Amazon respects copyright they don't do it automatically. I have to first track down the stolen images and report each violation by filling out a lengthy form, and provide Amazon with evidence of ownership, then wait for Amazon to take action. Then the thieves just turn around and open up a new shop under a new name and post them again a few days later. Many artists I know have been experiencing an explosion in these art-theft Amazon shops lately. It's getting to be a real pain. So from now on my only choice is to make it more difficult for them to steal images. Thus, the low res watermarked image above. Sorry.

So, how do you get one of these to color? I'm afraid you'll have to purchase a hard copy. I have several options available for you.

If you don't mind small 8.5"x11" size images, which is probably what you'd get if you printed it out yourself, this is the most economical option on these Zazzle notepads

http://www.zazzle.com/birds_and_maple_tree_adult_coloring_page_note_pad-133087280344873671?rf=238826377034825317

You get 40 copies for about $20, so it's the best price per copy. This is an option if you want to go in on it with some friends, or have family members you want to share it with, or pass them out at parties for fun or as a coloring contest. Also an option if you just love to experiment and want to try coloring it in a lot of different ways. Color one for spring and one for fall, one realistic and one funky. It's all up to your creativity.

Another option are these 8.5"x11" individual sheets. They are more expensive per sheet than the notepads, and you still have to buy them in a batch (25), but they offer some advantages over the notepad option. You don't have the sticky glue on one end, or risk tearing the sheet when you pull them off the notepad. These sheets are a little better quality paper. And they are also double-sided. So if you mess up just flip it over and try again.

Of course I realize not everyone wants to buy these in bulk. But these are the least expensive options per sheet. If you want to buy them individually, or in larger sizes, I have a few poster options. A bit more expensive but more of an art quality and big enough to frame and hang on your wall when you're done coloring it in. Current sizes are:

I'm looking for more options so I'll post them when they become available.

So for now, enjoy! Remember you can always refer to the original version here if you'd like to color it in as I did. And let me know what you think. Would you like to see more of my paintings turned into coloring pages? If so, which ones? Leave your feedback in the comments below.
