New All-Over Printed Shirts

Zazzle has recently added a new product people have been requesting for ages, new all-over printable t-shirts!

I've added some of my wildlife and animal art images to these shirts. The digital bird paintings especially work well for these because the digital images are large and crisp and, therefore, print well on a large surface like this. Here are a few samples of what I now have available in my ForestWildlifeArt Zazzle Store.

Since "big face" t-shirts are popular I edited some of my original oil paintings in Photoshop to have only the face blended with a background pattern. Here are a few examples of those.

More all-over printed apparel is available in my Zazzle store. Check them out!

Happy Kitty Sad Kitty Products

Lots and lots of new products added to my Zazzle Store since my last post. Please consider supporting artists this holiday season by buying Christmas decor and gifts from Zazzle stores run by individual artists rather than buying products mass-produced by huge chain stores. Not only will you be supporting individual artists, you will be giving unique gifts. Most of the products on Zazzle are fully customizable. You can customize iPhone cases with a monogram or name. You can create unique invitations to your Christmas party. You can personalize products for birthday parties, baby showers, weddings, and more!

I have put a lot of products up in the last couple weeks featuring a variety of subjects from deer to ducks. But today I'm going to just show some of the cat products I've put up recently. These would make great gifts for the cat lover you know.

These are just a few of the many kitten products available. Browse the cat section of my Zazzle Store to see all the many products you can find featuring these adorable kitten faces!

Miniature Painting - No 49 - Fluffy White Cat

I know there was a little thumbnail image of this painting in my previous post about the Parklane Gallery Miniature Show but, since I like to count my mini paintings, I like to give them their own individual posts.

I love cats. Unfortunately, I'm allergic to cats so I can't have one. But if I could, I'd have orange cats, white cats, gray tabbies, and calicos. They're all so beautiful. And a white cat with crystal blue eyes is especially beautiful. So here is a painting of a white cat with blue eyes, a cat I'd have if I weren't allergic. Having images of them is the next best thing, I suppose. :)

Brushing The Cat No.2

Somehow I missed posting this painting I finished back in October. I had done a previous "Brushing The Cat" paint of an orange tabby cat with this concept of the paint brush creating the cat's image. In that one I'd deliberately left the whole painting unfinished as if the brush were still working on not just the cat but the entire painting. In this one the painting is finished but the brush is just putting the finishing touches on the cat, adding the stripes.

White Tiger Jewelry

I've added some new jewelry selections to the Tigers section of my Zazzle store featuring my painting of a white tiger. His crystal blue eyes are perfect for a jewelry setting. :)

I have a lot of other sections up as well featuring wolves, eagles and more. Not just jewelry either. There are t-shirts, coffee mugs, and even smart phone cases all featuring wildlife art. Many items that would make great gifts for the animal lover in your life!

Zion Cougar Painting - Finished!

This piece actually started out being just a cougar in a Zion National Park setting. But the expression on the cat's face made me feel he was looking around for a sound he heard. So I got the idea to add a rabbit that might have been making the sound the cougar's looking for. Then, having the rabbit hiding from the cougar made me think about what life must be like if you're a rabbit, with an animal around every corner ready to eat you! So I added other predators to the scene that might also want to make a tasty snack of the little bunny.

I think I'll call it "Don't Move!" because if the rabbit moves out of his hiding place he might become lunch! :)

Besides the cougar, can you find and name 6 other animals in the scene? (Click the image to see a larger version)

Wildlife Quiz - Ocelot or Clouded Leopard?

Do you know how to tell the difference between an ocelot and a clouded leopard? They are very similar! Here is a picture of both. Can you tell me which is which? No cheating! Make your best guess before Googling! What are the distinguishing differences? Leave your answer in the comments below. I'll give the answer in the comments later.

Beagle Puppy Painting on Etsy

Here's a mini painting I did of a beagle puppy, the third in my "paint the pets" series, you might call it.

"Paint My World - Beagle Puppy"
5"x7" oil on Gessobord
SOLD

In this series I had the art paint brush painted in as part of the image itself, the paint brush creating the world that it, and the animal, are both in. In case you didn't see my first two in the series, here they are again.

 "Brushing the Dog"
6"x6" oil on Gessobord
SOLD
I'm mentioning the beagle pup painting here because I had this painting in auction a time or two and, based on feedback, I'm getting the feeling people really don't like buying art through auctions. If they want to buy a painting, they want to buy it now, not wait a week. On top of that, they don't like the anxiety of worrying they'll be outbid and lose the painting. So I have decided to start moving more of my artwork to Etsy and PayPal so people can just buy it immediately, without dealing the auction. This is one painting I just moved from auction to Etsy so it can be purchased immediately with no competition. I hope by having more artwork available for immediately purchase, and less artwork in the auctions, that it makes things easier and more pleasant for both of us. :)

New "Brush the Cat" Painting

To go along with my previous "Brushing the Dog" painting, I did a cat version. This kitty seems to be enjoying the paint brush as much as the dog, if not more! :)

No, this is not a picture of me working on a dog painting. The paint brush is actually part of the painting!
