It's been a while since I posted because I've been busy working away at my state birds and flowers coloring book. Twenty drawings done, 30 more to go! It's going to be tight to make my May deadline. But I thought I'd take a minute to share another image, this time of my home state of California, featuring the quail and the golden poppy.

I haven't posted in a while since I got side-tracked from my owl painting. I've been commissioned to do a coloring book of the 50 state birds and flowers. That's a lot of birds and flowers to draw so it's been keeping me busy! Here's a little preview featuring my state, WA, bird and flower, the goldfinch and rhododendron.
